Application Questions for Individual and Small Group Study

- In Genesis 4, Abel’s offering of a lamb was accepted while Cain’s offering of the fruit of his toil was not accepted. Why is it important for us to understand that it is Christ’s sacrifice that opened the way for our heavenly access–rather than our own effort, striving, or toil

- Why is it important to seek the Lord’s higher perspective on our lives when we face difficult trials or human opposition? What examples from scripture demonstrate that God may use trials or opposition to advance His kingdom or build godly character in us

- In this episode, we learn about the value of prayers of invocation (inviting the Lord) and consecration (commiting ourselves or giving ourselves to the Lord). Take a few minutes to recommit your heart, your mind, and the people and places in your sphere of influence to the Lord today

- Why is it important for believers to have a strong biblical understanding of the ministry of angels as we approach the next move of God in the earth? Which biblical truths about angels are most important for us to know in order to partner with them in advancing the kingdom

- Describe a time when you were aware that the Lord was present in the room or angelic minsitry was happening. What did you experience and how did you know? What other kinds of things might believers sometimes experience when a spiritual gate or portal is opened?
